Audrey "Sam" Nelms

Audrey “Sam” Nelms, 85, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home in Lexington.

Born in Algona, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Earl Henry Steinman. Mrs. Nelms was a member of Celebration Baptist Church in Greensboro. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and most importantly, she loved her family. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted L. Nelms and her brother, Larry Steinman.

Survivors include her children, Tami Floyd (Mark), Cindy Nelms, Susan Jackson (Tom), Debbie McFalls and Cathy Plageman; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. Nelms will be Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East with Pastor Kenny Marr officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the funeral home
