Audrey Alice McCulloch

Audrey Alice McCulloch, resident of Winterville, passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2012.
She was born Audrey Alice Crewe in Blackbrook Cottage, Westmeston, East Sussex, England on September 13, 1923. Audrey was the widow of William Gordon Everett McCulloch of Altona, Manitoba, Canada whom she married at Christ Church, Shamley Green on February 12, 1944. She served as a Red Cross nurse in World War II, a homemaker in Manitoba, Canada then later in Sussex, England. Audrey returned to nursing at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, Sussex once her children reached school age. After immigrating to the United States with her family in 1973, Audrey served as a para-pro at Barnett Shoals Elementary School in Athens, until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughters Susan Mosley and Sally Harris; sons-in-law Jim Mosley and Ernie Harris; grandchildren Jonathan Pace, Lara Pace, Taig Rehmel, and Shae Rehmel; and great grandchildren Banyan Rehmel, Kayden Pace, Nakai Rehmel and Jocilyn Pace.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sudnay, June 3, 2012 at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
