Audrey Faye McClure

Audrey Faye McClure, 86, wife of the late Robert Ernest McClure, Jr., died Monday, January 3, 2022. Born in Soperton, GA she was the daughter of the late C.P. Webb and Ruby Lee Hall Webb. Early in her life, Faye worked for Georgia Power and the University of Georgia before becoming a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Athens First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her three children: Robert Ernest (Shelia) McClure, III of Suwanee, Chris L. (Kelley) McClure of Nicholson and Merrie McClure Wallace of Lake Spivey, GA; grandchildren: Robert Judson McClure, Hannah McClure, Ellen McClure, Andrew McClure and Catie Wallace and one sister: Carolyn Durden. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11AM at Athens First United Methodist Church with Rev. Martha Aenchbacher officiating. Interment will follow at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
