Winterville, GA - Augustus Thomas Hardeman, 91, died January 28, 2009.
A native of Clarke County, GA, he was a son of the late Thomas and Alice Hardeman. He retired from Fowler Products and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Lions Club, Masons, and Winterville First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Hardigree; grandson, Randy Faulkner and four siblings, Inos Hardeman, Doc Hardeman, Frank Hardeman and Cora Parish.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST with Dr. Jim Akins officiating. Interment will be in Winterville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Hodges, Mike Hardeman, Dub Melton, Billy Pittard, Tommy Hardeman and Ronnie Hardeman.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-nine years, Kathleen H. Hardeman; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Lamar Duncan; grandchildren, Russell and Gina Faulkner, Kelly and Kirk Atkinson, Keith and Michelle Duncan, Karmen Duncan, and Carol Faulkner Smith; eleven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
