Arthur Cleo Coile

Arthur Cleo Coile, 90, of Comer, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Born in Madison County to the late Robert Lee Coile and Ruth Lee Manley Coile, Cleo was a lifelong resident of the Oglethorpe County area. He worked for Sears for 47 years and was a member of Clouds Creek Baptist Church. Cleo liked to keep busy and was always working, even when he was home. He loved gardening, hunting, and laughing with his family. He was a very kind man who will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Greg Morgan; brother, Edward Coile; and sister, Marlene Martiny.

Cleo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mavis Louise Anthony Coile; daughters, Debra Comer and Lynne Holmes (Stanley); grandchildren: Danielle Mariotti (Tommy), Christopher Parsons (Madison), Shalon Huff (Jonathan) and Brianna Morgan; sister: Ruth McDonald; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 24 at Clouds Creek Baptist Church in Crawford at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
