Mrs. Aron Mae Cooper, 86 of Winder, GA, passed away June 20, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Jimmie Lee, Sr & Hazel Mae Capehart Allen. Following the death of her mother at an early age, Mrs. Cooper was raised by grandparents, Aaron & Callie Capehart. She was born and raised in Marianna, Florida. She matriculated in the Jackson County, Florida school system attending Holy Neck Elementary and St. Paul High School.

Ms. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Cooper; her daughter, Nora Lee Cooper Witherspoon; a sister, Mildred Lee Whigham; brothers, Jimmie Lee Allen, Jr, Ted Allen and Fred Allen. Mrs. Cooper moved from Panama City, Florida to Athens, Ga in 2002 and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. In Panama City, Mrs. Cooper was a longtime member of Redemption Lutheran Church serving in many capacities including Sunday School teacher.  She also attended Clarke County Council on Aging Senior Center (2010-2017) and Barrow County Senior Center (2017-2019) where she made many cherished friendships.

The family will visit at the funeral home July 6, 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Lord & Stephens, West.

The Memorial service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Saturday July 6, 2019 5:00pm with Pastors Aaron Reinking & David Heller.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by the nephew she raised, John L. Allen; sister, Magnora Chambers of Tampa, FL; sister-in-laws, Katie Allen of Tampa, FL and Peggy Allen of Shiloh, GA; son-in-law Cordell Witherspoon (Julie); grandchildren, Kir Enoch, William  Witherspoon, Tonja Cooper, Rebecca Witherspoon, Jaque  Crawford; great grandchildren, Asim- Malik Enoch-Johnson (Shetia Marion / Monique Thomas), Gregory Hall, Jr, Layne, Maya, Shaye, Liam and Wren Witherspoon, Jordan Crawford, Dutch Bammer; great-great grandchildren, Jaiden Page, D’Shawn and Noah Thomas, Ayonna, Liliana, Tiana, Eliana and Nolan Enoch-Johnson; beloved friends and caretakers Dorthey Crawford and Lisa Mann plus a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved friends.
