Arnett Alvis "Art" Berry Jr

Arnett "Art" Alvis Berry, Jr., 86, died August 7, 2013.
Mr. Berry was born in Leander, Texas on July 1, 1927 to Arnett Alvis Berry, Sr. and Gladys Irene Tumlinson Berry. After high school, he entered the United States Marine Corps where he served for four years. In 1950 he moved to Atlanta, GA where he attended Marsh Business College and received a degree in accounting. He worked for many years in the finance industry as a branch manager. He also worked for the Diana Shops as a Regional Credit Supervisor. In 1992 he retired as a loan specialist with the U. S. Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance in Atlanta. Mr. Berry was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST with Rev. Tac Coley officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Lou Berry; daughter, Virginia Berry Hopkins of Washington, GA; son, Alan Lee Berry of Cumming, GA; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many other friends and family members that he cherished so much.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
