Arlene Foley Ligotti, much loved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the age of 80 years. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Albert F. Ligotti, and her daughter Jeannie Rothman and is survived by her daughter Fran Rothman Prince of Athens, GA.
In 1968, Mrs. Ligotti left her birthplace, Brooklyn, NY, and moved with her husband and daughters to Athens. She embraced life as a "university wife" and full-time homemaker who always strove to make life lovely for her family. In 1969, she became an LPN and worked in the field of Nursing for 25 years, first at Athens Regional Hospital and then at St. Mary's Hospital from where she retired. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Fran and the many friends she loved during her lifetime.
