Archer Clyde Peck, 92, of Farmington, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 15, 2015.
Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Joseph Emory and Lou Pearl Harper Peck. Mr. Peck lived in Farmington for most of his life where he was, until recently, an active member of Freeman Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Peck was a farmer in his early years, and later became a bus driver along with being a Postal Carrier for the USPS. He was popular in Farmington for his windmills, which he enjoyed making. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lougenia Huff Peck; four brothers, John A. Peck, Horace Peck, Vernon "Jim" Peck, and Fred "Buddy" Peck; and one sister, Hilda Peck Miller.
Survivors include two sisters, Edith Whitehead and her husband Bill, of Farmington, and Mary Anna Paulson and her husband Marlin, of Fort Oglethorpe; and 29 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11 AM at Lord and Stephens, West. Interment will follow at Farmington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Peck, Chris Peck, Mark Paulson, Gene Peck, Wayne Turner, Byron Whitehead, Mark Tatum and Roger Peck. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Edith and Bill Whitehead, 1441 Mayne Mill Road, Farmington, GA.
