Athens - Anthony Hogan, 76, died February 7, 2007 surrounded by family in Athens, GA.
Born in Bury England, he was the son of the late Thomas Patrick and Kathleen Stephens Hogan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Kathleen Hogan. He was a parrish member of Gesu Catholic Church, Detroit
MI. He received his undergrad from Youngstown State University and his masters from Kent State University performing his dissertation in Spanish, French, German and Italian. Anthony was a teacher for 30 years in the Detroit area. As a world traveler, he was a professional ice dancer for Holiday On Ice and a longtime member of the Detroit Skating Club. He was known for his generosity and kind heart.
Survivors include his son and his wife: Sean and Kerry Hogan of Athens; daughter: Kathleen Hogan of New York City; brothers: Lawrence Hogan, Peter Hogan Bernard Hogan; sisters: Maureen Casamayon, Patricia Sandefur; grandsons: Tommy and Simon Hogan.
Memorials may be made to AIDS Athens.
Memorial mass will be Monday, February 12, 2007, at 10:30 AM at Gesu Catholic Church, Detroit, MI. The family will receive friends at the church Monday at 10:00 AM.
