Annie Mae Smith

Mrs. Annie Mae Smith age 81 of Danielsville passed away at Cobb Health Care following a period of declining health. Mrs. Smith was born on July 02, 1930 to Ellis and Lula Bales, she was a homemaker, an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon Fan. The family would especially like to thank Cobb Health Care and Staff as well as Dr. Stephen Lucas and staff at Athens Pulmonary for there excellent care. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Smith, her parents, as well as 6 brothers. Mrs. Smith is survived by daughter and son in law Wanda and Sam Basinger; two sisters Evelyn and Shirley Cowart and family pet puppy Renegade.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Wells and the Rev. Buford Lockman interment well be held at Howington Cemetery in Nicholson GA. Buck Holland, Jimmy Cowart, Jeff Cowart, Chris Anderson, David Maddox, and James Smith will serve as pallbearers. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donation may be made to Johnson Drive Baptist Church.
