Annie Ruth Seagraves

Annie Ruth Seagraves, 87, wife of the late James Leroy Seagraves, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Born in Rutledge, GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry Grady McDonald and Mary Belle Wellborn McDonald and mother to the late Daniel Leroy Seagraves. She was one of nine children and was preceded in death by five siblings. Mrs. Seagraves worked in food service at the University of Georgia prior to her retirement. She was a former member of Oconee Heights Baptist Church and currently a member of Church 316. She was an avid fan of the UGA Gymdogs and enjoyed camping at Unicoi Springs Resort in Helen, GA. Survivors include her four children: Ann (William) Hairston of Commerce, James Donald (Connie) Seagraves of Ila, Jennifer (Sid) Stephens of Athens; Kelvin (Heather) Seagraves of Macon; three siblings, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West with Rev. Tony Gowan officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephes.com
