Annie Lou McCannon, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 29, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly McCannon, parents; Willie and Ethel Woods, sister, Willie Dell Mathews and brother in law, Alton Mathews.

She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and a friend to many. She loved her family especially her only grandchild, Morgan McCannon. She worked at "Granny's Kitchen" for many years and was a wonderful cook.

Survivors include her sons, Steve McCannon, Jerry (Sandy) McCannon and sister, Margaret (Tom) Yeargin and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 at Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, Thursday, October 30, 2014.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11AM at Burt's United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Burt's United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Trisha Mathews, 89 Bridges Road, Carlton, GA 30629.
