Annie Elizabeth Sanders Cook, 85, died July 12, 2009.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was a daughter of the late Edward Lloyd and Lillie Clyde Sorrow Sanders and was also preceded in death by a son, Roy Cook, III. She was a 1943 graduate of Oglethorpe County High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, McDonough, where she lived for many years.
Funeral services will be July 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Salem Baptist Church, Lexington, GA with Rev. Clayton Sanders officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to service time.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Cook, Jr.; six children, Rebecca A. Uber of McDonough, Vickie D. Brzezinski of Lawrenceville, David L. Cook of McDonough, Danford "Danny" R. Cook of Rex, Cynthia E. Madaris of Fairburn, and Timothy R. Cook of McDonough; seven sisters; three brothers; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be T. J. Cook, Michael Brzezinski, Ted Sowards, Charlie Holloway, Josh Madaris, Brian Madaris and Andrew Cook.
Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
