Athens, GA - Annette Venable Sanders, widow of Emmett C. Sanders, died December 29, 2012.
A native of Athens, she was the daughter of the late C.T. and Ella May Seymore Venable. Mrs. Sanders served as a nurse with the U.S. Navy, followed by a career in nursing in Athens. She was a member of Young Harris United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her sons, James Michael Sanders (Mary) of McFarland, WI and William Kenneth Sanders (Susan) of Winterville; grandchildren, Brian Sanders (Mary Alice), Michael Sanders (Brittany), Rachel Sanders and Jessica Sanders, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
