Annette M. Parr, 85, died Thursday, May 24, 2012.
A native of Griffin, GA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Valley Garr Manley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Wade Parr, Jr. and son Brax Parr. She received her Master from the University of Georgia in Education and was a school teacher of the Clarke County School System. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Athens, the DAR, Loyal Order of the Women Of The Moose, past president of the Athens Junior Women's Club and past president of the Alumni Directors of A. O. Pi. (Alpha Omicron Pi.
She is survived by her children: Deborah Cornelison of Columbia, SC, Milton (Toni) Parr of Athens, Jimmy Parr of Monroe, GA; sister: Mildred Hill of Griffin, GA and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11AM at Oconee Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ed Saye officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112, www.stroke.org
