Born in Walker County, she was the daughter of the late W.E. and Ethel Strickland Pettyjohn and the widow of Nelson H. ìPetieî Seagraves. She was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Mary Fields of Athens, William H. Seagraves (Jo) of Athens and Phillip N. Seagraves (Donny) of Winterville; sisters, Willie Belle Strickland of Toccoa and Mary Norris Cape of Gainesville; brother, Luther Pettyjohn of Big Canoe; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winterville United Methodist Church.
Lord and Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
