Anne McLaughlin Page, 78, of Athens, died on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
Born in Charlotte, NC to the late Harry Dotger McLaughlin and Elinor Niven McLaughlin, Anne moved to the Athens area in 1976. She worked as a special education teacher in several different Clarke County schools and was Teacher of the Year at Burney-Harris-Lyons Middle School in 1995. She was a faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was helpful in the founding of the Athens Korean Presbyterian Church. She loved her grandchildren, and in return she was loved by many.
Along with her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her brother William McLaughlin.
Anne is survived by her husband, Richard C. Page; her sons Richard H. Page (Marcia) and Robert Page (Paige McMurry); siblings Bryce McLaughlin, Mary McLaughlin Rich, and Malcolm McLaughlin; and grandchildren Jacob Page, Joseph Page, and Colin Page.
A private memorial service will be held for family only. Streaming of the service for remote viewers will be available Friday, September 24, at 2:00 p.m. through Covenant Presbyterian Church's Youtube page at youtube.com/c/cpcathens .
