Hull, GA - Laura Anne Lester Burroughs, 80, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday morning, December 31, 2008.
A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Burroughs was the daughter of the late Leon C. and Jenny B. Lester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Spurgeon West Burroughs.
Graveside services will be Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Spurgeon Jr. (Pete) and Lisa Burroughs; grandson, Spurgeon III (Trey) Burroughs; granddaughter, Emily Taylor Burroughs, all of Hull, GA; sister, Jane Drake of Atlanta, GA.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
