Anna J. Mealor Stafford, 86, of Athens, died Wednesday, August 03, 2011.
Born in East Point, GA, she was the daughter of the late N. Dudley and Anna Dover Jones and was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Henry Mealor, who died during the Korean Conflict. She retired from food services with the University of Georgia, was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church and had attended the University of Georgia.
Survivors include her children: Sherry (Cooper) Dyer of Watkinsville, Karen (David) Saye of Lithonia, Bill Stafford of Stephens, GA. and Jack Stafford of Cumming, GA; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10AM at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8, tonight, August 4, 2011 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Winterville United Methodist Church.
