Anna Morris

Anna Bowen Morris died on April 11, 2016. Born in 1967 to Jane and Mack Bowen, she grew up on the family farm near Crawford. She graduated from Oglethorpe County High School, attended Georgia Southern University and Athens Technical College. She spent several years working as a special education paraprofessional at Colbert Elementary. Anna loved animals, music, and children, and was especially proud of her children Trey and Olivia Morris. In addition to her parents and children, she is also survived by her sister and brother-in - law Catherine and George Drewry, nephew McGowan Drewry, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, April 17th, at 2 pm at our friend and neighbor John Bass's lake and pavilion at 50 Black Thorn Road, Colbert GA 30628. Anna requested that her musically inclined friends and relatives bring their instruments and voices for an impromptu jam. We will have potluck snacks, and wear your dancing shoes, because you know Anna loved to dance!
