Athens - Anna Catherine Hill, 80, died September 19, 2006.
A native of Abbeville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Allen B. and Mamie Nabors Bowie, and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Hill and her son, David R. Hill. Mrs. Hill moved to Athens in 1962 from Charleston, SC. She was a member of Tuckston United Methodist Church, and avid gardener and Georgia Bulldog fan.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 22, 2006, at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST, with Dr. Sheila Bookout officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Hill of Athens; granddaughter, Dr. Monica R. Hill of Fayetteville, NC; caretaker, Orlanda Crowder; faithful companion, Lady.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association or the Athens Humane Society.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
