Anna Joette Freeman

Anna Joette Freeman, 64, of Snellville/Atlanta, Ga and as of late Athens, GA passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022.

Born on June 19, 1957 in Alabama, she is the daughter of the late Herbert and Evelyn Freeman of Viborg, South Dakota and sister to the late Ronald Freeman, Sr. Of New York.

She is survived by her only son Torey Freeman, and daughter in-law Melissa Freeman, and her two grandchildren Evelyn and Auryn Freeman. Her sister Linda Connor of Alabama, and niece Trisha Blackburn, Casey and Amber Blackburn, Tyler and Bailey Blackburn, and Hunter Blackburn. Her Brother Steve Freeman and nephews Justin and Brittany Freeman, Zhaine, and Hannah Freeman, Jens, and Jared Freeman.

Her sister-in-law Judy Freeman, her niece Julie Freeman, and Gabriel Sather, and Grace Sather. Her nephew Ronald Freeman, Jr., Elizabeth Freeman, Marissa Freeman, Elise Freeman, and LeighAnne Freeman, Alyssa Freeman.

And her beloved best friend of a lifetime Charlene Toler. And so many beloved friends along the path of her life.

Anna was an amazing Granna in her last years, and Evey and Auryn were her everything. She was a vital part of Ogletree Deakins for over a decade. She was also the owner and operator of two successful beauty salons, Divine Decadence and the Nail Retreat for many decades. She was an empathic listener, an honest friend, a patient advice giver, and a solid rock for many. We will all miss her dearly but we know that her pain and suffering are no longer.

Her celebration of life will be held at Lord and Stephens on 4355 Lexington Road in Athens, GA on March 12th at 2:00PM.

Anna loved blue hydrangeas- and wanted her celebration filled with them- so if you send flowers please consider her favorite.

If you cannot attend the ceremony please share a favorite memory to be read at the celebration, which you can find on the funeral home website.

We will try to host the event on zoom for those who cannot make it in person.
