Carlton - Anna Laura Cooper, 88, died May 21, 2010.
A lifelong resident of Carlton, she was the daughter of the late Cody K. and Maude Mathews Smith and was also preceded in death by her brother, James C. Smith; and husband, Oliver David Cooper. She was a retired supervisor with Comer Manufacturing Company and a lifelong member of Carlton Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Carlton Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Wilson and Dr. Marshall Tribble officiating. Interment will be in Carlton Cemetery.
The Loyalty Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Survivors include her daughters, Ann Hammond of Comer and Barbara Brown of Carlton; sister, Mauline Drew of Carlton; brothers, Lester T. Smith and Walter Smith, both of Comer; grandchildren, Alicia Chapman and Tabby Bonner; and great-grandchildren, Alec Bonner, Hayden Frey, Lexi Chapman and Berklee Bonner.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Carlton Perpetual Care Cemetery Fund in c/o Betty Sweeney, Carlton, Ga.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
