Anna Durham Boling, 56, died June 10, 2016.
Anna was born on July 2, 1959 to Mercer Clarence and Nell Wright Durham. She grew up in Union Point, Georgia where she attended the First United Methodist Church. Anna is a member of Grace Fellowship Church of God in Bogart, Georgia where she was active in Sunday School and her Small Group.
Anna graduated from Nathanael Greene Academy and went on to attend Emory University. Then, Anna attained her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia. Most recently, she was a faculty member at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia.
Anna became ill in April of 2014. She battled her disease with ferocity, by relying on her faith in Jesus. Toward the end of her life, she received many visitors. As people reminisced about their life experiences with Anna, they testified that she was a strong, hard-working and loyal coworker and friend. More that anything, people talked about how Anna's faith in Jesus had impacted their lives.
Anna was a devoted wife and mother who always put the needs of her children and husband above her own. Her life was a testament of God's faithfulness working through a willing heart.
Graveside services will be Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Bethesda Baptist Church, 1560 Bethesda Church Road, Union Point, GA 30669. Memorial services will follow at 4:00 PM at Grace Fellowship, 1120 Malcolm Bridge Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-three years, Larry Neal Boling; children, Nell Lawson Boling of Athens and Reuben Mercer Boling of Bogart; sister, Della Durham Fowler and husband, Tony of Union Point, GA; eight nieces and nephews; four great nieces and nephews.
Anna's family expresses thanks to the many, many people that supported them throughout her illness. Prayers, visits, food, flowers, cards and calls made her journey easier.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that friends contribute to the Mission Board at Grace Fellowship or the charity of their choice.
