Ann Rutland Senter

Ann Rutland Senter, 76, daughter of Floyd E. and Estelle Rutland (deceased) of Beaufort, SC, died October 12, 2012 of vascular disease. She was the wife of Samuel D. Senter for 56 years and the mother of daughters, Catherine Schowalter of Baton Rouge, LA, Susan McGlohon of Suawanee, GA and John Senter of Athens, GA. She is survived by her husband and children, grandchildren, Charles and Bradley McGlohon of Athens, Shannon Heuberger and Corin Hammond of Tuscon, AZ, and one great grandchild, Ella Rose McGlohon; two sisters, Juanita Omahen of Atlanta, Shirley F. Jones of St. Helena, SC and brother, Larry D. Rutland of Beaufort, SC. She was a longtime employee of the USDA-NRCS, Athens, GA and a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home EAST, 4355 Lexington Road, Athens, GA on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
