Ann Carol (Davis) Ruark

Ann Carol Davis Ruark, 72, died Monday, May 30, 2016. A life long resident of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Malachi Davis and Nancy Elizabeth Elder Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Ruark and son, Chad Avery Ruark. She was a member of Bishop Baptist Church and retired from Oconee County High School as the Food Service Manager. Survivors include her children, Jay Marvin Ruark (Bettie) of St. Robert, MO, Paul D. Ruark (Tracie) of Homer, Joseph Scott Ruark of Statham, Christopher Hugh Ruark (Tanya) of Maxey, Ernest L. Ruark (Jennifer), and Elizabeth Ann Ruark both of Watkinsville; sisters: Becky Primeaux, Sybil Nunn, Jeanne Peterson, Joyce Lingerfelt and Sarita Little; seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 4PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9PM Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the funeral home. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association. Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangement.
