Ann Roddenbery Brookins, 76, of Athens, GA, died December 3, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Mrs. Brookins was born May 12, 1945, in Tampa, FL to the late Seaborn Anderson Roddenbery III, MD and the late Grace G. George. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tate Anderson Brookins.
After a move of Columbus in 1950, Ann attended Wynnton Elementary and Columbus High School. At the University of Georgia, Mrs. Brookins was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
Mrs. Brookins career included work with the Small Animal Hospital at the University of Georgia Veterinary School and later as a real estate broker in the Athens area.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, W. Frank Brookins and her son, William Franklin “Tripp” Brookins, III; grandson, Tate Anderson Brookins, II; granddaughter, Isabella Grace Brookins. Also surviving are three siblings, S.A. Roddenbery, Jr. (Donna) of Cantonment, FL, Roberta Roddenbery Alston of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Edward J. Roddenbery (Becky) of Columbus, GA; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family burial will be held.
