Ann Wolfe Bohler was born in Savannah, Tennessee on October 10, 1925, one of eleven children. Ann moved to Atlanta, Georgia at 18 to work for Southern Bell as a switchboard operator. There she met and married her husband of 65 years, Robert H. Bohler, on December 5, 1946 at the Emory Chapel. She was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family. She was naturally creative with gifts for decorating, sewing, and flower arranging. She was an especially gifted portrait artist whose paintings of family and relatives fill their homes. Her personality was engaging, full of fun and she loved to entertain. She spent countless hours involved with her children's school and sports activities then had a successful career as a Realtor in Decatur. In her later years, she was a devoted grandmother, still attending ball games and practices. She loved the family home on Lake Burton where she and her family spent the summers. Most importantly, she was a woman of deep faith who gave her love generously to her immediate and extended family. Her great exterior beauty was only exceeded by her inner grace, character, and strength.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Bohler, Sr; son and wife Robert (Bob) H. Bohler, Jr. and Kim Bohler of Athens; daughter and husband, Vicki Bohler and Andrew Gross of Harmony, FL; grandchildren Robert and John Bohler, and Anna and Philip Gross.
