Anita Teet Miller

Anita T. Miller of Nicholson passed away on October 3, 2021 at her residence.

Ms. Miller was born in Greensboro, GA. She was the daughter of the late Loyd and Thelma Teet. Anita grew up in Oconee County and graduate from Oconee County High School. She retired from the University of Georgia in 2007. She had lived in Jackson County for several years and was a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church in Pendergrass, GA.

In addition to her parents Anita was preceded in death by her four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law: Kathi and Danny Ashley of Watkinsville; son: Mark Shannon of Nicholson; Zadie Smiddy of Augusta, Dianne Eades of Winterville and Sue Robertson of Hampton; two grandchildren: Amanda Ashley and Pam Bates; four grandchildren: Taylor Ruark, Logan Ruark, Ashlie Payne  and Kane Bates and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Oconee Chapel.

Interment will follow at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pond Fork Baptist Church c/o Pastor Johnny Knight, 2615 Pond Ford Church Road, Pendergrass, GA 30567.
