Anita Louise Garrison

Comer - Anita Louise Garrison was born September 13, 1963 in Amarillo, Texas. She died Tuesday morning, October 6, 2009 in her home in Comer, Georgia. Anita was preceded in death by her father, Henry Garrison, Sr.
Anita leaves behind her beloved partner, Shane Russell, of Comer; her mother, Alice Garrison, of Rockwall, Texas; her children, Devin Winters and Jeff Garland, Jacquelyn Winters and Tommy Jackson, Kevin and Julie Winters, Garrison Mitchell of Athens, and Justice Russell of Comer. She is also survived by her sisters, Lorie Crawford of Rockwall, Texas; Sheila Goodson and her husband, Bo, of Sachse, Texas; Pam Nichols and her husband, Mike, of Pensacola, Florida; Henry Garrison, Jr., of Garland, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was crazy about her grandchildren, Abigail Winters, Jackson and Chesnee Garland.
A memorial service and celebration of Anita's life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Athens in the Hancock Hall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10th. The family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
