Watkinsville - Andy Permar, 56, husband of Debbie Permar, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Andy was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and was a native of St. Simons Island. He was the son of the late Edward Andrew and Elise Johns Permar. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and the Amity Masonic Lodge of Watkinsville. Andy was the owner of Production Arts Film and Video and employed by the University of Georgia in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
In addition to his wife Debbie, Andy is survived by his sons: A. Scott Permar of Washington, DC, Steven Permar of Watkinsville, GA; sister: Pam Shierling of St. Simons Island; brother: Matthew Permar of St. Simons Island.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2007 at 10AM at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Father Robert Salamone officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Good Hope Christian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
