Andrew Joseph Fazekas, 39, died Saturday, July 14, 2012.
A native of Athens, he was the son of the late Daniel Joseph and Helen Rose Fazekas. He had worked as a police officer with the Jefferson Police Department and the Athens Clarke County Police Department.
Survivors include his daughters: Dreama Gail Fazekas, Harleigh Desiree Fazekas; sisters: Lisa Marie Slusher, Katherine Elizabeth Russell; brother: Paul Samuel Fazekas and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1PM, Friday, July 20, 2012 at New Covenant Worship Center with Rev. Howard Conine officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
