Andrea M. Lott, born on February 5, 1952, in Marion, Indiana, and a cherished resident of Watkinsville, Georgia, passed away on November 5, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication to her church youth program, the students she taught, and her cherished family.
Andrea retired from the Coffee County School System, where she made significant contributions to the lives of countless children and families. She was a phenomenal educator and received the distinction of being a school level teacher of the year three times and a county level winner twice during her career. She and her husband moved to Watkinsville in 2010 to be closer to her grandchildren. After her retirement, she taught at the college level inspiring many students who wanted to pursue their degree in education. She currently serves as the Director of Children's Ministries at Antioch Christian Church, where she has continued to touch the lives of the children she serves.
Andrea's love for her family was profound. She is survived by her loving husband, Thurman S. Lott; her devoted mother, Ann M. Hunt; her daughters, Susan Stancil (Martin) and Stephanie Lott (Joshua); sister, Susan Shearer; brothers, Robert Hunt and James Hunt; granddaughters, Mary Martin, Sarah, and Anna, and grandson, Jeremiah.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Gates E. Hunt.
Her presence will be deeply missed but her impact will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:30am at Antioch Christian Church in Watkinsville. A reception will immediately follow the service in the church's social hall.
