On December 16th, 2022 Amanda Perkins Hasten of Athens, GA passed away at the age of 54.
Amanda was born to Bill and Donna Perkins in Pascagoula, MS in 1968. She was a graduate of Pascagoula High School, earned a nursing degree while studying at Mississippi State University and the Mississippi University for Women. Amanda later attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she completed the Certified Nurse Anesthetist program. She later earned two masters degrees from Loyola University of New Orleans in the fields of therapy and counseling.
Amanda spent the majority of her professional career practicing as a CRNA. She later transitioned to helping others fighting addiction as a therapist working in a rehab center as well as her private practice. Her efforts touched many lives.
Amanda was happiest when spending time at the beach or on a boat with family and friends. She loved her dogs, cooking and traveling.
Amanda is survived by her parents, Bill and Donna Perkins, husband Chris Hasten, brother Billy Perkins, his wife Kecia and nieces Annie and Sofie Perkins and first husband Rodger Coan.
Per Amanda’s request there will be no public service. The family will honor Amanda privately.
