A Marshall County native, Joyce was the daughter of the late Gladys Marie Shaw Harrison and the late Joe Melvin Hastings. She was a very caring and giving woman. Joyce made everyone she met feel like family and would do anything in the world for them. She would light up every room she walked in!  Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren. Her favorite past times were being with family and watching college football, specifically the Georgia Bulldogs! She loved wearing Red and Black and cheering on the DAWGS every Saturday.

Survivors include her brother, Terry Haislip; daughter: Tonya Vernon, husband Bryan Vernon and their children Callie and Jefferson “Jake”; and son, Gregory Scott. Joyce is also survived by her stepchildren, Mary Lou Walls (Tom), Barry Frazee, Karen Myers, five step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gene Frazee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joyce’s honor to Family Hospice, 624 S. Milledge Ave., Suite 101, Athens, GA 30605 or Ransom Chapel CP, 603 East Church St., Lewisburg, TN 37091.
