Comer - Alma Ruth Carithers Parham, 87, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Collie Russell and Lottie Landers Carithers and the widow of Birch Odanes Parham. Mrs. Parham was preceded in death by brother, Edwin Carithers; two sisters, Harlow Welborn and Margaret Maddox. She retired from Monarch Industries and attended Meadow Baptist Church.
Funeral services were 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006, in the Chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, DANIELSVILLE, with Rev. Jerry Ediger and Deacon O.P. Jones officiating. Interment will be Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Walter Smith; sister, Mary Anne Rigby; grandson and wife, Christopher Shane and Karen Smith; great-grandsons; Christopher Myles Smith, Johnathan Gaines, Caleb Ryan Smith and a number of nieces and nephews.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 5095 Jefferson Road, Athens GA 30607.
