Alma Kathleen Escoe

Alma Kathleen Escoe, age 93, passed away March 22, 2015.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Escoe; parents, John Henry & Ellen Bell; siblings, Eleanor Steele, Wade Bell, Howard Bell, Spurgeon Bell, Pope Bell, Dorris Bell, Phillip Bell and Fairy Figueroa.
The Escoe family house was always open to all their children's friends and later husbands and wives. The house was simple but William and Alma never felt they lacked for anything. They were proud of their children and later their grandchildren. Alma continued to be the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and at this writing, great-great grandmother, always interested in the health and happiness of her family.
Survivors include children, Kathy (Carl) Terry, Wayne (Carol) Escoe, Jim (Deborah) Escoe, Marlin (Susan) Escoe; grandchildren, Greg (Kim) Moore, Patti (Marty) Dowdy, Mitch (Sherry) Moore, Justin (Paige) Terry, Adam (Robin) Terry, Clint (Candice) Escoe, Jennifer (Keith) Holt, Jill Bomar, Julianne Escoe, Anna Escoe, Emily Escoe; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Allen Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East with Rev. Christ Camden officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Cross Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Greg Moore, Mitch Moore, Clint Escoe, Daniel Dowdy, Marty Dowdy, Caleb Moore, Adam Terry, and Justin Terry.
