Lexington - Allie Irene Hammond Harrison, 94, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster and Sidney Smith Hammond. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Murray Harrison; brothers: Daniel Hammond, Truman Hammond, James Hammond, Dillard Hammond, Onnie Dwight Hammond; sisters: Mattie Ree Pass, Murlene Guest. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and retired from Almar Manufacturing, Washington, GA.
Survivors include her daughters and their husband; Glynda Harrison Escoe and Sammy Escoe of Bogart, June Harrison Robertson and Frank Robertson of Griffin; sister, Lorena Hammond Dixon of Elberton; grandchildren: Cherry Rawlins, Daphne Brennan, Cal Robertson, Kim Watson, Terry Emmett and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Tom Arnold and Rev. Tim Harrison officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Cal Robertson, David Rawlins, Patrick Brennan, Jim Watson, Shane Emmett.
Lord & Stephens funeral homes are in charge of arrangements.
