Hull - Allie Lou Alewine, 87, died January 18, 2007.
A lifelong resident of this area, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Nancy Elizabeth Bragg Human, and was the widow of Andrew Alewine. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Butler; brothers, Claude Human, Clyde Human, Wiley Human, Noah Human; and sisters, Tillie House, Sue Dickerson, and Cordelia Carter.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 20, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Revs. Bill Hayes and Jim Carpenter will officiate. Interment will be in Moons Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn and Glenn Scoggins, of Colbert; four sons, Gene and Shirley Alewine, of Watkinsville, Weyman and Gail Alewine, of Hull, Donald and Annette Alewine, of Gray, Larry and Mary Alewine, of Lake Oconee; two sisters, Ruth Human, of Athens and Louise Hall, of Royston; eleven grandchildren, Cindy Drake, Nathan Alewine, Rhonda Coyne, Melissa Porterfield, Tammy Craine, Larry Alewine, Jr., Jason Alewine, Kim Lord, Chris Butler, Gregg Scoggins, and Tina Hart; twenty-one great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; very special friend, Mattie Williams.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
