Allen Roy Holmes

Allen Roy Holmes, 81, husband of Patricia Ann Tate Holmes, died Friday, April 19, 2019. Born in Athens, he was the son of the late Roy Tabor Holmes and Ailene Hamilton Holmes. Roy was a mechanic, had previously owned a battery shop and was a school bus driver.  He was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church.  Survivors in addition to his wife Pat include two sisters in law: Faye Prather and Dot Scarborough and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Lord and Stephens Funeral Homes, West, Watkinsville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
