Allen Q. Gurley

Allen Q. Gurley, 74, husband of Rosalinda P. Gurley, died Monday, June 1, 2015. Born in Athens, GA, he was the son of the late Allen and Martha D. Gurley. Allen retired from the University of Georgia Maintenance Department. He was also a former Deputy for the Oconee County Sheriff's Department and had worked part time for the Oconee County Waste Collection and Recycling. He was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Amy (Allen) Bishop, Andy (Ann) Gurley; grandchildren: Julia Bishop, Alex Bishop, Chaz Bishop, Courtney Gurley; great grandchildren: Addison Hall and Dean Cesarini. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Rob Bray officiating. Burial will follow at Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.
