Alice Piskowski

Watkinsville - Alice Piskowski passed away peacefully on May 20, 2011. She was born on November 27, 1933 in Hawley, Pa., to the late Roy and Louise Horst. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved the simple things in life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Alice is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank Piskowski. She is also survived by her son, Frank Piskowski, his wife, Linda, and their children, Katie and Daniel, of Manchester, N.J.; daughter, Linda Dixon, and her husband, Ted, and their children, Marty, Dallas, and Jimmy, of Springtown, Texas; daughter, Kathy Sneed, and her children, Megan and Austin, of Watkinsville; and daughter, Sandy Dimitroff, her husband, Tom, and their children, Tom and Jim, of Commerce. She also leaves behind a brother, Eugene Horst, of Sauquoit, N.Y., and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Freedom Worship Center, 6041 Madison Highway, Greensboro. Memorial contributions in Alice's name may be made to Freedom Worship Center. The family would like to thank the caring staff of St. Mary's Hospital for their help and support. Lord & Stephens West, Bogart, is in charge of arrangements.
