Comer, GA - Alice M. Bales, 69, died March 3, 2007.
A native of Walton County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Estelle Davis and Robert Lawrence Mitchell, Sr. and the widow of Bookter Bales. She was a homemaker and a member of Arcade Community Church. She also attended Presbyterian Holiness Church for the last year.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, with Rev. Patsy Garrett and Pastor Palmer Pace officiating. Interment will be in Hill Haven Cemetery, Monroe.
Survivors include twelve children, Terry Armistead of Covington, GA, Eugene Arwood, Jr. of Chatsworth, GA, Faye Ray of Waycross, GA, Debra C. Brown of Comer, GA, Tim G. Arwood of Kings Mtn, NC, Mary Waters of Dallas, NC, Herbert Arwood of Monroe, GA, Daphine Montgomery of Covington, GA, Elizabeth McDaniel of Colbert, GA, Jennifer Halbaker of Franklin, NC, Jimmy "Skip" Meeks of Arcade, GA, Bobby Bales of Danielsville, GA; one sister, Annie Mae Durden of Monroe; thirty-five grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 5, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
