Hull, GA - Aletha Rebecca Vinson LaCount, 83, died April 21, 2011.
Born in Macon County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Fred Hampton and Pearl Dowdle Vinson and was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas LaCount (1970), son, Jimmy Vernon LaCount (1966), and brother Don Vinson. She lived most of her adult life in the Athens area and was a longtime member of the Athens Antique Car Club. Mrs. LaCount was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Gainesville.
Survivors include her daughters, Becky (Ricky) Vinson of Hull, Rita Whitehead of Danielsville, Lynn (Norm) Kluesner of Adel, Norma (Ken) Bonner of Athens and June (John) Guest of Carlton; siblings, Jessie Roberts of Athens, Lucille Green of Williamson, Fritz Vinson of Dillard, Wilton Vinson of Prattville, AL, Selma Green of Stephens and Betty Dewberry of Breman; 6 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, 5 great granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Revs. Greg Worley, Gary Wilson and John Guest officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Vinson, Ken Bonner, Norm Kluesner, John Guest, Steven Vinson, Cody Culbertson, Andy Culbertson, Joseph Culbertson, Dustin Dean and Paul Mullinax.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
