Albert David Lovell

Albert David Lovell was born on November 14, 1938 to Porter Lovell and Eddis Lovell in Clarkesville, Georgia and died on March 22, 2025. David was raised in Clarkesville, Georgia, marrying his high school sweetheart, Pat, in 1959. David and Pat moved to Watkinsville, Georgia where he attended the University of Georgia and earned his bachelor’s degree in Agronomy. David and Pat worked and raised their family in Watkinsville. He spent forty years working at the Experiment Station where he formed many lifelong friendships. After retirement, David spent many hours serving in his church and volunteering at ACTS, helping those in need.

Throughout his life, David was a loving and devoted father and husband, always taking care of his girls. He cherished many special moments with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was especially loved among them for the many hours he would spend playing with them in the yard. David was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Pat. He is survived by his current wife, Jean; his brother Douglas Lovell; his daughters Angie (Billy) Burrell and Pam (David) Dennard; his grandchildren Brad (Aleisha) Burrell, Brent (Erica) Burrell, Lauren (Todd) Carlson, Lindsey (Jared) Grant, and Brian Dennard; and his 9 great grandchildren. David was the absolute best husband, father, and grandfather and will be so missed.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Oconee Chapel.
