Albert Eugene Hale

Albert Eugene Hale, 81, passed away to his heavenly home on February 2, 2022. Born in Tifton, GA on June 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Virgil Gene Hale and Ollie Van Dora Hale. He was also preceded in death by his sons: Kevin Lee Hale and Van Smith Hale; sisters: Inez Sampson, Clara Mae Terrell, Murdell McCorvey; brothers: Carl Hale, Robert Hale, Clyde Hale, Hugh Hale.  Albert grew up on the family farm in Tift County. He was employed by Anaconda Wire and Cable in Watkinsville for several years and retired from Southeastern Testing Lab of Bishop, GA. He was a longtime and faithful member of Elder Road Baptist Church of High Shoals, GA for many years. He loved his church family and Pastor Carlton Shelton and family.  His favorite hobby was gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and watching them grow up. Albert is survived by his wife Carolyn Janice Hale of Watkinsville, GA; son: Gary D. Hale of Watkinsville, GA; grandchildren: Amber Elise Hale, Clyde O. (Ali) Hale; Justin G. Hale, Breanna J. Hale and great granddaughter: Wynri Esther Hale. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 3PM at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Johnson United Methodist Church on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11AM.
