Albert Lee Bales

Albert Lee Bales, 66, husband of 45 years to Gayle Dudley Bales, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012.
Born in Athens, he was the son of the late Clinton Ruben and Jenny Mae Williams Bales. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Vicki Couch, Charles Bales, Clinton Bales, JR., Rita Hooper and Margie Bray. He was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church and retired from ALTEL as a cable splicer after 32 years.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his son: Albert Lee (Amy) Bales, JR.; daughter: Melanie (David "Yank") Callaway; brothers: Jimmy Bales, Michael Bales; sisters: Lois Wilson, Peggy Weir, Pam Page,
Janie Page, Susan Cabe; grandchildren: Trey Bales, Anniston Bales, Payton Cromer, Alyssa Callaway, Kristen Callaway; sisters in law: Elaine Tate, Cheri and Lonnie Cox and Frankie and Steve Horrocks as
well as several other family members.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 2PM at New Hope Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
