A.L. Bailey, 85, passed away at his home Tuesday, January 29, 2013.
Mr. Bailey and his wife Helen owned and operated Baileys Restaurant for over 15 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dessie Bailey Huff; stepfather, Henry Huff; father, Willard Bailey; grandson, Phillip Hancock and brother, Willard Bailey, Jr.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen Holloman Bailey; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Richard Griggs; grandson, Chris Hancock; granddaughter, Kerri Griggs Dowell; sister, Mary Ruth Seagraves; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Rev. Ray Wuerzer officiating. Entombment will be at Athens Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Lord and Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
