Adrian McRey Fitzpatrick

Lieutenant Colonel Adrian McRey Fitzpatrick of Athens, GA, 77, passed into the hereafter to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, March 20, 2015. He was born in Raleigh, West Virginia. He lived much of his early life in both Virginia and West Virginia prior to enlisting in the United States Army. He served his country with honor doing two tours of extended duty in Vietnam. Adrian was an alumnus of the University of Georgia. He made his family very proud and we miss him dearly; he was a good father.
The memorial service will be at Tuckston Methodist Church in Athens, Georgia on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anne-Marie; his two sons, Stephan of Atlanta, Georgia; and Philip of Athens. He was the proud grandfather to Stephan and his wife Lucy's two children, Marina, the apple of his eye, and Zain, his little buddy.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts donations are requested to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
